Use of R
The above calculation show that each gas its own value of R a that the use of the characteristic is limited to a partical gas. Therefore ،when dealing whit air and water vapour mixtures it necessary to deduce from the atmospheric condition those facts the reate to dry air only and those facts that relate to water vapour on Such deductions must be on Dalton’s Laws.

Dalton’s Law of Pressures
Dalton’s Law states that a mixture of different gases،the pressure exerted by the mixture is the sum of the individual pressures each gas would exert if it alone occupied the space at the same tempera ture. This is indicated diagrammatically in Fig.9
The law is valid for mixtures at low pressure and may be applied to vapours . However ، there are other factors to take into consideration where vapours are involved.
